The special slide-bearings, made from Silicone-Carbide and Tungsten-Carbide, are often applied in magnetic-coupling pumps. They are manufactured with sharp tolerances, what demands strict paying of attention.Besides carbon and graphite slide bearings can be made from Silicone-Carbide, Tungsten-Carbide, or some other industrial ceramics. Good examples for such spare parts are the bearings of multi-scale vertical pumps (Grundfos) and magnetic-coupling pumps (Iwaki, Lewa, Hermetic, Klaus-Union).
